C.S Shivashankaraiah is the Managing Director of TrishulMachine Tools Pvt Ltd which caters to the entire requirement of Polygon Turning Machines in India.

Before TrishulMachine Tools Pvt Ltd Bangalore was set up in 1994, Shiva Shankariah began his technical career in Bosch Bangalore and was chosen to co-lead the TVS team that was assigned to indigenize critical engine parts for the Japanese motor company Suzuki in the early 1980’s. Later he also went on to obtain a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Initially he began a consulting firm that catered to manufacturing industries and then eventually created an auto ancillary unit which now employs close to 700 people across multiple locations within India. TrishulMachine Tools has come a long way in terms of its export reach compared to their 1st export in 2005. Strong leadership, relentless effort and bold entrepreneurial skills have enabled this company to consistently grow. As a multimillion turnover company, it has positively impacted India and the rest of the world.

According to Shivashankaraiah, his greatest professional achievement was to develop the Taiwanese market for turning machines. Over the years the company has earned accolades for product excellence, outstanding customer service and on-time delivery.

The birth of Polygon Turning Machines has fetched him global recognition and the products are presently sold to Mexico, Taiwan, South Korea, Kenya, USA, UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and China.

Along with his managing responsibilities, he also serves on the Member Export Promotion Committee for the IMTMA and is also a Member of the Regional Committee South for EEPC India Engineering Export Promotion Council of India.

He is a connoisseur of Carnatic classical music and a gifted Veena player. He attributes his success to his belief in hard work, attention to quality and innovation. He finds joy in mentoring and molding young engineers in the pursuit of excellence and determination.

As a unique leader, unflustered technocrat , skilled negotiator, visionary and polyglot, Shivashankaraiah was recently honored with the coveted IMTMA, a premier outstanding entrepreneur award in memory of Vinod Doshi.
